Show - " ;' 7 V ","V . .-' VAL SCOTT GEORGE IRA DALE GEORGE Die in Tennessee fire Val Scott George. 44 and his son, Ira Dale LaMar George. 3, of Clarksville. Tennessee, died Jan. 4. 1989 as a result of a house fire. The funeral was held Saturday, Jan. 7 at the LDS Chapel in Clarksville, Clark-sville, with Bishop James Hebda officiating. Burial was in Knight Cemetery in Waverly. Tennessee. Scott was born Aug. 26, 1944 in Salt Lake City, a son of Aaron Rex George and Edith Amundsen George, of Bountiful. He was a Fort Campbell civile service worker, an Army veteran, member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saintsand a church missionary in the Great Lakes Mission. 7 He was currently sepying in the Clarksyille Ward bisnopric. and p, was formerly a high councilor. Pre- ' -'-Vious to that, he was counselor to two other bishops Scott and Geraldine George were married in tne Salt Lake LDS Temple Aug. 18 1967. Survivors include his mother, Edith George.yBountiful: his wife, Geraldine Durham George.Clark- syille. Also surviving are eight brothers, Rex George, Woods Cross; Don George, Bountiful; Carter George, Kaysville; Keith George, Hawaii; Shirl George, Streamwood, III.; Calvin George, Glen Ellyn, Illinois; Dale George, West Bountiful; and Jim George, Reams; and three sisters, Lois Sessions, Mesa, Ariz.; Lola Kiev, Clearfield; and Lucille Bruno, Great Falls, Mont. He waspreceded in death by his fathejuaron Rex George; a brother, Frank R. George, and twin sisters Wilda Gober and Wilma Wil-ma Clark. Pallbearers were his brothers, Jim George, Dale George, Keith George, Shirl George, Calvin George and Don George. Ira was born Mav 15. 1985, in Montgomery County, Tennessee, a son of Val Scott George and Geraldine Durham George. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his mother, Clarksville; his paternal grandmother, grand-mother, Edith Amundson George, Bountiful; maternal grandmother, Opal Ligon, Waverly; maternal step-grandfather, Jery Ligon, Waverly; two brothers, LaMonte' George and LaDell George, both of Clarksville; and two sisters, LaDawn George and LaRae George, both of Clarksville. |
