Show Anchor woman visits with ! MPJH class ; Last Wednesday, a special as- i sembly was held at Mueller Park f Junior High. The student body spent an hour with the Channel Two news anchor, Michelle King. . : Michelle discussed her work as a ' new anchor and the preparation she - made in her life in order to achieve ' I that position. She then compared j the process of building a house to the planning necessary to achieve worthwhile goals in life.TShe reflec-'" reflec-'" ' ted on her experiences in school and' the opportunity she had to attend a ten year class reunion of her high school in California. She discovered dis-covered that after ten years, those who were ' motivated became" achievers, those who were troublemakers trouble-makers had trouble in their adult lives. She' stressed that young people , must really believe that they can accomplish ac-complish worthwhile goals, goals that they can set to be accomplished in small steps and over longer periods of time. Finding greater happiness in their lives is also pos- sible when they develop a variety of . skills and interests. ; She said, "Pick good friends, be--cause you act like those you hang ( , around with. If you don't respect your : friends, you won't respect yourself. Do the best at whatever ' ' you do. Today's habits last a long' time." - , ;, Mrs. King has been a night anchor an-chor at KUTV since 1534. She has been at Channel Two for the past ' . ten years.
