Show By KAREN WILCOX i Ever heard of normal, respect able people making fools of themselves them-selves on a donkey? Well, it looks like we will be starting a new event here at Clearfield High School. It's a game of donkey basketball be- tween members of the faculty and some of our students. The entire evening will be sponsored by the new Clearfield High Booster Club. Can you imagine the principal, Mrs. Tamera Lowe, on a donkey trying to play basketball? Or how about the English teacher Mr. Bradshaw or what about Mrs. Marker, Mar-ker, how will we tell who is the donkey and the teacher? Can the students hold their own against the vicious teachers? Teams led by Dan Huff and Darren Carpenter, will they play fair or try to get their revenge for their report card which just came out. (What a time for report cards to come out!) The whole event will be on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Clearfield High's new gym. In advance, the cost for adults is$2.50 and $3.50 at the door. For children the cost is $ 1 .50 in advance or $2 at the door. The teams of the donkey basketball basket-ball were chosen by votes cast by the studentbody. Over 150 names were submitted, but it was finally drawn down to two teams consisting consist-ing of 12 players each. The faculty was also chosen by the votes of the students. Some teachers were nominated because of their ability to get along with students, but some of the teachers were nominated by the student's inability to get along with the teachers! Clearfield High's Booster Club is responsible for the game. We have a new Booster Club this year. The president is Ron Perry, vice president is Sonja Kelsey, secretary secret-ary is Faye Painter and Dan Williams Wil-liams is the treasurer. All have worked very hard to make the evening successful. All the mondy earned for this game goes into the Booster Club funds which in turn, go to support the student activities at Clearfield. It's a worthy cause! Tickets are available at Clearfield Clear-field High School. Tension is rapidly rapid-ly growing between the faculty and the student teams. Come early and get a good seat. It should be a great game and well worth your time. |
