Show i . i UTA ski bus service begins Just in time for the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, the Utah Transit Tran-sit Authority will begin Its 12th year of ski bus service to the resorts re-sorts east of Salt Lake City, on Wednesday, Nov. 23. The popular skier shuttle to and from Solitude and Brighton Resorts Re-sorts in Big Cottonwood Canyon, and Snowbird and Alta Resorts in 'Little Cottonwood, will operate every weekday including holidays through the end of the ski season. The major success of UTA's Ski Service over the years is due to its convenience, combined with very reasonable fares: $6 one-way from the Salt Lake International Air port; $3 from the downtown Salt Lake Area; $1 from all other valley locations including the University of Utah and Valley Fair Mall; $1 from the mouths of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons; and 75 cents for shuttles between resorts. Also on Nov. 23, UTA will implement im-plement a number of route and schedule changes throughout its service area. Such adjustments are made three times each year, in an ongoing effort to provide Weber, Davis and Salt Lake Counties, and Provo and Orem cities with the most convenient, cost-efficient public transportation service possible. Beginning Friday, Nov. 25, Utah Transit Authority will extend the service hours of the nostalgic UTA Trolley, in order to accommodate Christmastime shoppers and tourists tour-ists in the downtown area. Trolley service from Temple Square to Trolley Square and back will be available every 15 minutes between be-tween 11:30 a.m. and 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The trolley's 50 cent one-way fare will remain in effect. The economical eco-nomical "Trolley Dollar Day . Pass," available aboard the trolley, trol-ley, at downtown hotels and motels, and the Salt Lake Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau downtown, will also continue. |
