Show EountiM's Main Street to get new holiday look BOUNTIFUL The city will usher in the holiday season with an entirely new look, including new Christmas decorations. City Manager Tom Hardy said the city has ordered the decorations decora-tions from Design West and they expect to receive them by Nov. 7 and begin installation during the week of Nov. 14. The $19,500 worth of new decorations de-corations will include seven foot Christmas trees alternated with seven foot window frames with candles on the aluminum poles. The new lights on Main Street will be decorated with large wreaths with lighted candles in the center. Banners reading "Season's greetings from Bountiful City" will be attached to the poles in front of the tabernacle. Mr. Hardy explained that the old decorations have been used for the past 17 years, and "are in a sad state." He said they anticipate being able to use the new decorations decora-tions "fora minimum of 10 years." A special street grand reopening is planned for the week of Nov. 14. Details will be announced at a later time. |
