Show No more rock at Fairgrounds There will be no more "hard rock" concerts at the fairgrounds, according to Milt Weilenmann of the state Development Services office "People living in adjacent residential areas are complaining of the noise," he said. Weilenmann said the ban does not include music concerts geared to a lower decibel level. He mentioned Lynn Anderson and Charlie Pride, who will appear at the State Fair this year. The new noise policy also applies to Saturday auto races at the Fairgrounds, he said. The races must end by 10:30 p.m. and cars may be required to install noise reduction devices. A Development Services staff member said the Alice Cooper show, originally slated for last Monday, was cancelled by the group due to equipment problems. The concert will be held tonight at the Bonneville Raceway Park at 7 p.m. |
