Show Slogan contest opens Students with gripes about Utah drivers have an opportunity to put their wit to work and win a cash prize. Five students in a sociology class on the dynamics of social intervention are sponsoring a driving driv-ing slogan contest. The contest, which is open to everybody, will continue until noon Feb. 2. Entrants should turn in their slogans at the Information Desk of the Union before that time. Name, address and telephone tele-phone number must be included with the entry. Slogans will be judged by Becky Frandsen, Peggy Brown, Jo Miller, Gerry Keating and Sue Scholl. All five are taking Sociology 364. They explained that the contest is part of a project in social intervention required re-quired by the instructor, Mr. K. Kaiser. They said that they decided on this project because Utahns are notoriously discourteous drivers, and they hoped to start a community com-munity movement to shape up local drivers. The winning slogan will be used in public promotion of courteous driving. |
