"You're always picking on little tilings that really don't matter," he said. I disagreed. But Philo continued on. "Change. Sure, it's a good tiling. But, change doesn't mean total destruction," he said. I disagreed. Philo continued on. "The quality of life. That's the way I look at it," Philo philosophized. "Life should be what you want it to be. If you run into something that you don't like-find a way around it-don't go lambasting lam-basting it head on." I disagreed. Philo continued on. "Just because you can't stand block-seating doesn't mean you have to tuck your head and barrel straight at it. Try to find another way. If standing in a long line to buy an overpriced book is not what you consider a part of the quality of life, avoid it." Perhaps Philo is right. If people were more positively oriented, perhaps the world wouldn't be in the uptight state that it's in (a little philosophical philosophi-cal prodding to keep you awake tonight). Perhaps this University is, in effect, only an insignificant speck in this great universal dust bowl that we live. Perhaps the fate of the world will not be determined on whether block-seating is abolished or not. Perhaps there is more to this world than getting another "Stegger's Corner" in the Daily Utah Crummy (if this ever gets in, it may be the last anyway). Perhaps. Perhaps not. This quality of life idea may not be such a bad idea after all (that's a Dan Valentine ending if I ever read one).
