Show Grants Offered The University is now receiving ' applications for the Academic Year Institute, which will award 40 grants to junior high school trachers with : a minimum of three years' teaching teach-ing experience. Designed to provide additional training in the fields of physical and biological sciences and mathematics, mathe-matics, the institute will begin in July and continue through spring quarter, 1969. Applications may be obtained from the office of Dr. Thomas J. Parmley, institute director, and must be returned by Feb. 1. The institute is funded by a $225,-100 $225,-100 National Science Foundation grant. Successful applicants will receive re-ceive a maximum stipend of $3,600 and a maximum of four dependency dependen-cy allowances at $450 per dependent depend-ent in addition to tuition and book and travel allowances. |
