Chow Leads Utes Chow, a 6'2", 245 pound offensive guard, led the Ute interior ground game against the Big Ten's largest defensive line. Both Redskin scores were set up through Chow, who consistently pushed his defensive defen-sive counterpart right off the field. Chow, a senior this year, has been tabbed by several national publications publica-tions as an All-American candidate. Named by the Coaches as the Ute back of the week was speedster speed-ster Charlie Smith. The 210 pound Smith showed ability to run both around and through Minnesota's defensive de-fensive line, grinding out 84 yards in twenty carries for a 4.2 yard average. Smith proved to be a double-threat as well by snaring four aerials for 32 yards. His total offensive contribution of 116 yards was a definite spark in Utah's upset up-set plans. Junior transfer Steve Molnar was named as the offensive blocker of the week by the Ute mentors. Molnar, Mol-nar, in addition to his fine job as runner, provided the Redskin of- Jerome Lawson . . .
