AROUND OUR FARMS: DELBERT SCHOW is a lifelong life-long resident of Milford and has farmed in South Milford for the past 20 years. He farms 40 acres, in addition to operating a successful poultry business. He was the first president of the Young Farmers Organization ' of South Milford, and was instru-I instru-I mental in the successful movement move-ment to obtain service of the Milford Fire Department when fires break out on The Flat. The people of South Milford are making preparations for the coming pheasant hunt. Included in the arrangements will be the annual lunch sales to pheasant hunters on opening day at the South Milford Clubhouse. Meals will be "served before the hunt and during the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan McKnight attended the stock show in Delta on Oct. 30. Mr. and Mrs. Gael Elmer and two children and Alice Elmer drove to Cedar City on business last Friday. While there they also visited with Don Elmer, who has been working there. Mr. and Mrs. Jess McKnight were in Cedar City for the football foot-ball game on Oct. 31. Dinner guests at the Theman Walker home on Oct. 23 were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Schiedeman and two children. The Community Club met at the clubhouse on Saturday night for a social and business meeting. meet-ing. There were 22" members in attendance. After the business and the eating were taken care , of, the rest of the evening was j spent in playing bingo, with Floyd Wright and Delia Paice winning the high prizes. j The annual costume Hal- i loween party at the clubhouse i last Thursday night was the usual and noisy affair. Children of all ages and sizes and dressed in all kinds of costumes took part in the costume parade. After the judging and the choosing of the best costumes, candy, nuts and cookies were served. Mrs. Pearl Tolley was in Cedar City on Oct. 29. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wright, Mart Sherwood and Bub Cook drove to Delta on Thursday of last week. Duane Stahl, son of John W. Stahl of South Milford, is at home on furlough. He arrived Oct. 28 from Camp Polk, La., where he has been stationed. Upon his return to duty on Nov. 14 he will report at Camp Stone-man, Stone-man, Calif. Guests at the Howard Paice home on Nov. 2 were Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Puffer, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Schow, Mr. and Mrs. Wil-ia Wil-ia d Thompson, Jach Stahl, Mr. and Mrs. George Sears, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Yardley, and Mr. and Mrs. William Naruse. After an evening spent in playing bunco Mrs. Paice served chili and cake. Prizes for the evening eve-ning were won by Mr. Naruse and Dahl Thompson. Jack and Jean Goodwin and baby daughter were in Milford on Sunday and had their baby blessed in Sacrament meeting. I They were accompanied to MU-I MU-I ford by Jean's parents from ' Heber City.
