Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hollings-head Hollings-head have planted a fall lawn, making their premises more attractive at-tractive along with added paved walks, i ! Mrs. Nellie Erickson and her daughter, Mrs. Alverta Parkinson, Parkin-son, have been here visiting ; their many relatives and i friends. Philip Alison, a grand-j grand-j son of Mrs. Erickson, who ac- companied them, was a speaker in Sunday evening sacrament service last Sunday. Philip was tiie recipient of a scholarship to the John Pepperdine college at Los Angeles last year. Mrs. Mabel Gentry, Mrs. Irene Goodwin and Mrs. Betty I Lowe paid a surprise visit to 1 Mrs. Emily Gillins last Monday. Mrs. M. D. Fisher was a guest of her son and family, Mr. and Mrs: Parley Fisher, last week. A new car is owned by Mr. and Mrs. George Wood, and a new pickup by the Daisel Davis's. Mr. and Mrs. Stan McKnight and family and D. R. McKnight enjoyed a wonderful trip over ' the week-end when they toured I thru a section of Southern Utah, i Wayne County provided the I setting, and they toured thru ' Henryville, Cannonville, Esca-lante, Esca-lante, Boulder and other towns, ending up at Richfield. - They stated the scenery on this route is "simply beautiful and everyone every-one at some time in their lives should travel this route." Tom, a son of the elder LeFevres, who is stationed with the Air Force in the southern south-ern state, is proudly introducing introduc-ing his recent bride. Sunday evening sacrament services were in charge of Counselor Ralph Pearson. The congregational singing was led by Mrs. Alvaretta Robinson, ac-I ac-I companied by Mrs. Phyllis I Truman. Opening prayer was offered by Merrill Jameson. I A father and son banquet will be held Thursday evening, Sept. 1 27, for the purpose of raising j funds to finance the Boy Scout i organization. $1400 is the quota Beaver County has been asked to raise. All fathers are urged to cooperate with their song and attend this function. Mrs. Kate Bradfield of Milford Mil-ford and her sister from Arizona Ari-zona visited with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dalton last week. Both the very dear friends of the Daltons. Mrs. Thelma Datlon of Long Beach, Cal., has been here visiting vis-iting her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dalton; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dalton, and her relatives in Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Davis and two sons were in Minersville Miners-ville over the week-end assisting assist-ing and visiting the family. Victor is instructor of auto mechanics at the B A C in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. I. H. Lamb of Pioche spent several days at the home of their daughter and family last week, Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Gray. Mr. and Mrs; Victor Myers, Mayor and Mrs. Clarence Gillins, Gil-lins, Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Marshall Mar-shall and Mr. and Mrs. Jule Gillins participated in the Municipal Mu-nicipal League convention held at Cedar City the latter part of August.
