Invited guests included Mrs. Garnet Garfield, Mrs. Florence Barnes, Mrs. Katherine Shingleton, Mrs. Wanda Holm, Mrs. Lorelie Dawson, Daw-son, Mrs. Louise Delgardo, Mrs. Maudell Crane, Mrs. Lela Rowley Row-ley and Mrs. Virginia Fowles. Bridge was the entertainment, entertain-ment, and prizes were received by Mrs. Banks, Mrs. Garfield and Mrs. Barnes. A salad course and ice cream and birthday cake were served. if A BLUE AND PINK Shower in honor of Mrs. Beth Leffing-; Leffing-; well was given by Mrs. Billie r Stoker on Monday evening, June 4th. ; Monte Carlo Whist was played by Mrs. Mildred Haynie, Mrs. Ardath Outzen, Mrs. Fon-E Fon-E da Magill, Mrs. Elaine Childs, : Mrs. Jeanette Kohler, Mrs. r Grace Jefferson, Mrs. Louise Leathers, Mrs. Juanita Gleason, .. Mrs. Hazel Hillman, Mrs. Iris 1 ' McGinnis, Mrs. Jeanette Stoker, Mrs. Bobbie James, Mrs. Bar-- bara Jones, Mrs. Billie Stoker, Mrs. Elaine Archer, Mrs. Jane Firmage, and the guest of honor, hon-or, Mrs. Leffingwell. Prizes were won by Mrs. Mc- Ginnis, Mrs. Magill and Mrs. Leathers. Mrs. Leffingwell opened many lovely gifts after a salad course was served. M R S. LILLIAN MELLOR was hostess for her bridge club last Thursday evening. Members Mem-bers present were Mrs. Faye Berger, Mrs. Wilma Weston, Mrs. Nelda Memmott, Mrs. Fern Burbidge, Mrs. Mabel Wester-gard, Wester-gard, Mrs. Norma Yount and Mrs. Ina Norton. A luncheon was served after the game of cards. 1 MRS. KATHERINE ATKIN ' I' entertained her sewing club on Monday evening, June 4. Those present were Mrs. - "Aona Gillins, Mrs. Shirleen Barnes, Mrs. LaRue Williams, Mrs. Beatrice Spainhower, Mrs. LaDawne Frazier, Mrs. Ramona i Smith. J Cut prize was won by Mrs. Spainhower. A salad course was served after the evening of sewing. I, IT WAS A HAPPY DAY for Sally Edwards on June 5th when a birthday party was given in her honor by her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Edgar C. Edwards. Friends wishing her a happy birthday and presenting Sally with lovely gifts were Carlene Gronning, Arlene Tanner, Lyn-nette Lyn-nette Bracken, Marion Anderson, Ander-son, Judy Baxter, Gale Ed-Wards, Ed-Wards, Wilma Aagard, Jolaine Archer and Margaret Root. Prize winners in the various games were Margaret and Jolaine. Jo-laine. Mrs. Edwards served cake, jello and punch as refreshments. THE LADY FIREMEN were j entertained last week by the 1 1 following ladies: Mrs. Audrey I Skillicorn, Mrs. Margaret Lund, S Mrs. Faye Thompson, Mrs. Al-j'meda Al-j'meda Holbrook and Mrs. Ruth jj Lish, last Friday night at the l O O F Hall. A stork shower honored Mrs. "Sharleen Nickels White. Bridge and pinochle were - played during the evening, the prizes at bridge going to Mrs. 4- Ethel Smith, Mrs. Kate McDon-alrl McDon-alrl and Mrs. Magdalena White, ff At pinochle, winners were Mrs. U Marjorie Horton, Mrs. Norma Edwards and Mrs. Afton Niel- sen. ON FRIDAY of last week Mrs. H. G. Barnes entertained at her new South Milford home the Past Presidents of the G I A to the B of L E. A very short business meeting meet-ing was held, after which a very delicious luncheon was served to Mrs. R. B. Colborn, .Mrs. J. P. Holm, Mrs? O. R. Smith, Mrs. W. G. White, Mrs. R. E. Banks, and Mrs. Kenneth Hollis. The remainder of the afternoon was spent in sewing. Mrs. Marie Charchalis received re-ceived a telephone call from her husband, Capt. J. B. Charchalis, last week. Capt. Charchalis was in Yokahama on a four-day four-day rest leave after 10 months' duty in Korea. He said he expects ex-pects to "head for home" in about two months. |
