Show NEWS OF YOUR NEIGHBORS IN SOUTH MILFORD By MRS. NORA WRIGHT Mrs. Doris Elmer was hostess at a farewell party in honor of Mrs. Dorothy Turtle, who leaves Milford to make her home in i Salt Lake. Those present were Mrs. Letha Loveland, Mrs. Af-ton Af-ton Nielsen, Mrs. Twilla Abbott, Ab-bott, Mrs. La Verne Thorrell and Mrs. Beth Fisher. After a delightful evening of visiting, refreshments were served, and a going away present pres-ent was given Mrs. Tuttle by the ladies. Mrs. Phyllis Whittaker, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Fisher and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Gael Elmer motored to St. George Thursday. Thurs-day. Mr. Alma Powell passed away last week in Beaver. He was I the father of Mrs. Orrin Puffer, j Mr. and Mrs. Puffer attended the funeral services, held Mon-i Mon-i day. The Social Hour club members mem-bers met at the club house Thursday, celebrating the birth anniversary of the club. Delicious Deli-cious refreshments were served to 16 ladies and four children. The afternoon was spent singing and playing games. The prizes were won by Mrs. Jean Jones and Mrs. Joan McKnight.. Mrs. Vance Roberts was hostess host-ess to the Young Farmers Wives club last week. Mrs. Keith Rollins Rol-lins was honored at a bundle shower. Mrs. Nona Gillins and Mrs. Marjorie. Sherwood received prizes at the games, and a luncheon lunch-eon was served at a late hour. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wright and sons spent the week-end in Salt Lake, returning as far as Minersville with the Wrights were Mrs. Rhoda Ramsey and a nephew, Terry Burnham. Mrs. Ramsey will stay in Minersville Min-ersville with her mother, Mrs. Martin Sherwood, while her husband is taking training in a hospital in Africa. Miss Margene Loflhouse is in California. Gayle Tolley and Deon Loft-house Loft-house spent three days at the B A C in Cedar City taking 4-JH leadership training. Twins born to Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Evans recently are now at home with their parents. They have been in the hospital receiving special treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stoker and Mrs. Helen Gillins and Louise motored to St. George Wednesday to purchase strawberries. straw-berries. Fred Wright will spend the next three weeks visiting relatives rela-tives and friends in Salt Lake. |
