Show ODD FELLOWS AND RELEKAIIS VISIT GRAND LODGE A very enthusiastic delegation delega-tion of local Odd Fellows and Rebekahs journeyed to the state capital to attend the annual an-nual Grand Lodge session and the Rebekah Assembly, held May 15, 16 and 17 in Salt Lake City. As the railroad strike was on at that time, the delegates dele-gates traveled by auto, so the trip was perhaps more enjoyable enjoy-able than otherwise would have been. Roy Cottrell, Carl Elmer and George Baxter furnished the cars. Milton H. Pool and LeRoy Firmage were official delegates from the Milford lodge, and Roy Cottrell participated partici-pated in the work as a grand officer. Mesdames Cottrell, Caster-line, Caster-line, Glenn, Martin, Elmer, Sedgwick, O'Leary, Baxter and Wilson represented the Rebekahs. Re-bekahs. A very beautiful flag ceremony was put on by the Milford group, at which time Mrs. Vena Wilson gave a tribute trib-ute to the flag which was considered con-sidered one of the outstanding numbers of the program, and was well received. Closing the session was the installation of the state officers for the coming year. The Milford Mil-ford group was proud to see Mrs. Dora Casterline seated as Grand Warden. She received an ovation from the entire assembly. as-sembly. Victory Rebekah Lodge is happy to have a grand officer who is now in line for the presidency. pres-idency. She will supervise the work of the local lodge with the title of District Deputy President. Everyone who made the trip feels it was time and money well spent. They expect to make this year a most successful success-ful one for the Order of the Three Links. |
