Show KIDS TO HAVE RACES, FREE SHOW AND DANCE JULYS Milford's youngsters, and the children of South Milford and the surrounding communities, communi-ties, will have a thrilling, safe and sane Fourth of July celebration cele-bration in Milford, Monday, July 5th, with all the business busi-ness men of the town and the city dads chipping in to pay 'expenses for the all-day ) Sunday celebration. Beginning at 10 o'clock in Library Park, foot races will be staged until noon. Free candy, giant balloons and other favors will be given each youngster that attends the affair, and cash prizes, will be awarded winners. Immediately following the foot races, the committee will stage bicycle races. The contestants con-testants will be divided into age groups, and compete for cash prizes. A special running of the Soapbox Derby will be held, open to any and all soapboxes, soap-boxes, with cash prizes for winners. At 2 o'clock in the afternoon all the children are invited to a free show at the Firmage theater. the-ater. Cartoons, comedies and other special features for children chil-dren have been arranged by Mr. Firmage. Immediately following the free show, a free children's dance will begin, either at Arion Hall or the Legion's new open-air pavilion. If the weather is too warm and the sun too hot to stage the dance in the open, the ' doors of Arion Hall will swing I open to welcome the youngsters. J I |
