"i a I I ' f, '"Si I " X J I !. r I J I . -r 'hi- 1 ikmkmi boys avmnkd Four Mapleton boys have been presented with the coveted Duty to God Award, including' Wesley Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Walker; Richard Hjorth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hjorth; James Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Curil Thompson and Dennis West-wood, West-wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Westwood. All are from the Mapleton Second Ward and their bishop, Carlos Car-los Hjorth, made the presentations. presen-tations. Richard and James are juniors in high school and Wesley and Dennis are sophomores. Wesley is an officer of-ficer in seminary, president of his teachers quorum and enjoys sports. Dennis likes music, plays several instruments instru-ments and is in the a cap-pella cap-pella choir. He is secretary of his teachers quorum; has been president of the dea cons and assists his father on their dairy farm. James has hobbies of coin and stamp collecting, building model planes and archery. He has served as president of the deacons and teachers quorums. Richard likes sports, especially fishing and hunting, football, track and tennis. He has been on the latter three teams the past year. He is the fourth in his family to receive this award. Cadet David L. Palfreyman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Loms Palfreyman, 339 E. 100 So., has been commissioned a Second Sec-ond Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force through ROTC. Palfreyman majored in Business Bus-iness Management at BYU. Cadet John R, Patrick, 595 E. 100 No., has been commissioned commis-sioned a Second Lieutenant ! in the V. S. Air Force ! through the Air Force Re- I servo Officers Training Corps ! at BYU.
