Show I hi Open letter Artist writes thanks to newspaper The following letter was received re-ceived this week from the artist ar-tist Maurice Kish of Brooklyn, New York, a long time exhibitor exhibi-tor and friend of the Springville Spring-ville art movement: Dear Editor of Springville Herald I received several papers of your Springville Herald with my painting, "Meditation" reproduced, re-produced, for which I thank you sincerely. I also received my photo which was the only one I have. I would like to tell you that the reprcductcion came out excellent. excel-lent. Many artists admired it for the artisticc and clear re-1 production. At least a hundred people looked at it and said that it came out wonderful. You deserve all the credit. It is wonderful that your paper pa-per has so much interest in art and artists. Many fine artists submit their work to the Springville Museum. And I am glad that they don't bother with the so called "modern art" wich one does not need to study. All they do is to smear up and sprinkle from pots of paints and give it a name: "De Profundus," and they laugh in their sleeves! Thanking you again, Sincerely Maurice Kish I Forrest R.
