Snow surveys completed on twelve snow courses in Utah County March 1, shows a decrease de-crease from last year. Carl Clark, Snow Surveyor for the Soil Conservation Service, Ser-vice, reports that nearly all of the courses measured this month are below last years, and are mostly below the 15 year average. Timpanogos Cave Camp had 2.4 inches of water on March 1. The 15 year average for March 1 is 3.3 inches of water. In Hobble creek Canyon, Hobble Creek Summit had 12.2 inches of water March 1. The 15 year average for March 1, is 12.4 inches of water. Packard Pack-ard Canyon had 9.5 inches of water on March 1. The 15 year average for March 1, is 9.6 inches in-ches of water. In Payson Canyon the Pay-son Pay-son Ranger Station had 14.9 inches of water on March 1. The 15 year average for March 1, is 15.7 inches of water. Rock Bridge had 9.3 inches of water on March 1, 1968. The 15 year average is 11.0 inches of water for March 1. Daniels-Strawberry Summit had 40.1 inches of snow March 1, with 13.1 inches of water. |
