Show Two boys win design award York for both the winner and his or her parents. State finalists final-ists will be announced in Feb. 1969. Honored for designing an original or-iginal model from Tinkertoys are two youthful residents of Springville, Michael Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Thompson, Mapleton, and Robbie Rob-bie Hayes, son of Mr .and Mrs. Darwin L. Hayes, 29 S. 400 E. The award, a Junior Engineer Engi-neer Certificate from the Toy Tinkers, division of A. G. Spalding & Bros., Inc., reads: "In recognition of creative imagination, im-agination, ingenuity and skill, the Toy Tinkers offers this certificate as evidence of this achievement. Along with the certificate, the lads received news that the model automatically will be entered en-tered in the 1968 Scholarship Award Program to find the most imaginative creation of the year. Each of the fifty state finalists, fin-alists, to be selected at the close of the 1968 program, will receive a handsome-mounted, p e r s o n a 1 1 y-engraved wall plaque. From the state finalists, final-ists, one national winner will be chosen. Awards for the national na-tional winner, the Toy Tinker of the Year, include a $1,000 Savings Bond Scholarship and an expense paid trip to New |
