Show Guard outing at Park City Some 700 Utah National Guardsmen and their partners will gather at the C'est Bon Hotel in Park City Saturday, August 26, for the 13th annual an-nual Utah National Guard Association As-sociation meet. Golf, fashion shows, tours, election of officers and outstanding out-standing speakers are on the schedule for the one-day meeting. meet-ing. The convention will be under the gavel of association president presi-dent Maj. James Lee, Salt Lake City. Maj Gen. Maurice L. Watts, Utah adjutant general, will be one of the speakers as he will present his Adjutant General's Report. Another highlight of the convention will be the appearance appear-ance of George Mardikian, Armenia-born San Francisco restaurateur, res-taurateur, who will be the guest speaker. In addition to being a restaurateur, Mr. Mardikian Mar-dikian is an author, farmer and food consultant. President-elect Col. Keith Russon will take over the gavel at the end of the convention and guard the association for the coming year, Several government and civic civ-ic leaders are on the invitation list, including Gov. Calvin L. Rampton, Salt Lake Mayor J. Bracken Lee and several military mili-tary leaders from throughout the Intermountain area. |
