Events 5-stake inter M Men Gleaner Girl meet Men M and Gleaners of the Springville, Spanish Fork, Palmyra, Pal-myra, Payson and Santaquin-Tintic Santaquin-Tintic stakes are holding an outing at the Girls Home in Santaquin Canyon, August 26, beginning at 9 a.m. Games, a sack lunch at noon, dinner at 7 p.m., and a speaker are planned. An Italian theme will be used in details including the evening dinner. Those interested interest-ed are asked to call Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fowles for other details. Mason reunion The Mason reunion is scheduled sched-uled Saturday and Sunday, August 19, 20, at Kelly's Grove, veteran's fireplace. A program is set at 8 p.m., Saturday and breakfast will be served by the committee from 7 to 9 a.m. Sunday. There will be a genealogy gen-ealogy meeting at 9 a.m. and a watermelon treat Sunday. Many are expected to camp Saturday night. Robert Av-erett Av-erett is general chairman. Retired Steel workers outing Retired steel workers of this area and partners will go to Kelly's Grove, Lion Fireplace next Wednesday, August 23, for a dinner at 1:30 p.m. All are asked to bring pot luck. Cooney, Manager of Facilities Planning for Corning Glass will be the principal prin-cipal speaker at a TTvTDA Industrial In-dustrial Development Symposium Sympos-ium at the Wilkinson Center Saturday, August 19, at 8:30 a.m., speaking on "How the Community Attitudes Effects Industrial Development." Mr. Cooney is no stranger to Utah Valley as he has spent considerable time assisting Sig-netics Sig-netics (Corning is the parent Company to Signetics) locate a site for their new plant. |
