Springville couple will observe golden wedding with open house a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Ger-aldine) (Ger-aldine) Perkins of Springville; Harold W. Johnson, American Fork and Edwin L. Johnson, Salt Lake City. There are 13 grandchildren. An open house for Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Johnson, who are celebrating their .golden wedding anniversary, will be held at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Perkins, 170 No. Second West, Sunday. The time will be from 12 noon to 6 p.m. and all relatives and friends are invited. in-vited. Mrs. Naomi Watson Johnson was born in Heber, November 28, 1891, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Watson. She spent her very early life in that community later going to work in Murray, where she met Mr. Johnson. They were married at Heber, Sept 27, 1916, and their mar-raige mar-raige was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Mrs. Johnson served as Relief Re-lief Society president and as Primary president while they were living in Spring Canyon. She is active in Relief Society in the Ninth Ward and is also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Mr. Johnson worked as a coal miner at Spring Canyon for about 25 years and later was employed on construction. He is a native of Mapleton born August 8, 1888, to James and Eliza Johnson. He lived at Mapleton 'and in Springville and also in Provo before returning re-turning to Springville about 1950. They reside at 89 East Center St. The. couple has two sons and |
