WHITING, the former Miss Bette Snelson, married in Salt Lake Temple ceremony, will live In Orem. Mr. and Mrs. David Whiting live in Orem, enroll at BYU Making their new home in Orem, are recently married Mr. and Mrs. David L. Whiting who have enrolled at BYU, where both are seniors. Mrs. Whiting is the former Miss Bette Snelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Galen C. Johnson. John-son. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. W. Verl Whiting. The couple was married Sept. 9, in the Salt Lake Temple, by Selvoy J. Boyer and were later la-ter honored at a reception in the Twelfth Ward Church. They spent a few days honeymoon honey-moon in Aspen, Colo. For her all-important wedding wed-ding date, the bride chose a full-length wedding gown of pure silk Saki, empire style, with accents of Rose Barouque Venice lace around the sleeves and entire bottom. Lace also trimmed the detachable train. A single rose studded with pearls held her full flowing veil and she carried a bouquet of white roses with ropes of pearls. Attending the bride as matron ma-tron of honor, was a sister, Mrs. Marilyn Hales, while Mrs. Mary Jane Palfreyman, Miss Bonnie Tingey and Mrs. Mary Clegg were bridesmaids and Patricia Whiting, junior bridesmaid. brides-maid. Little Pamela Rigby and Christine Rigby were flower girls. All wore full-length silver blue velvet dresses of empire design with white lace on the sleeves. Their flowers were white roses and carnations. Best man to the groom was Blake Bird. Wendell Whiting and Grant Roylance were ushers. ush-ers. At the guest register were, Mrs. Gena Harness and Miss Caceile Larson. Arranging gifts were Mrs.! Jana Lee Davies, Mrs. Sally Dalton, and Mrs. Linda Peirce. assisted by Mark and Steven Rigby, gift bearers. Mothers of the bride and groom both chose silver blue French satin dresses for the reception, floor-length with white rose corsage. Serving at the reception were Laura Cook, Mary Lynn Warren, War-ren, Debra Miner, Jill Tuttle. Vonda Bird and Cheri Jensen, directed by Mrs Pat Cherring-ton Cherring-ton and Mrs. Francis Roylance. Roy-lance. A pretty wedding cake with two tiers, separated by Grecian swags with dainty white roses and pale blue carnnations. added ad-ded a distinctive note to the decorations. |
