Show New brochures to be printed; contest planned A colored brochure of Springville featuring the new civic center, golf course, art building, fish hatcheries, and other business and scenic attractions at-tractions in and around the city, is being planned for the near future, by the Chamber of Commerce. Martin Conover has been appointed chairman. Present plans call for a twofold two-fold flyer type brochure with colored photos and pertinent information on the area aimed at attracting interest of out-of-town and out-of-state travelers trav-elers to visit the city, stay awhile and get to know more about the region and the people. peo-ple. The brochure, printed in color, col-or, will be ready for distribution distribu-tion in late summr, .according to those in charge. Several hundred will be sent to travel clubs and chambers of commerce com-merce which have requested copies of the coming pamphlet. Townspeople are being invited in-vited to share some of their better colored photos of places in the city and nearby canyons with the Chamber to be used in the brochure. Cash prizes of $15, $10, and $5 will be awarded award-ed for the top seven pictures selected for use. The photographers photog-raphers will also be given credit in the brochure for the picture. Please bring entries, either colored slides or prints, to the Chamber office, 175 South Main, before August 15, so the brochure committee may select those suitable for use. All entries en-tries will be considered. |
