Show Letter to the editor Reader asks questions about theatre Letter to Editor: Let's ask a few questions! Do we want a theatre or are wp -intst wnrripd nr ashamed of an empty building or two on Main Street? Do we really believe the story that the theatre never lost money while in operation? Do we really think we could get good shows all the time? How many good shows are available each year? If the snack bar which opens onto main street receives utilities util-ities free do we extend the same rate to their tax paying competitors, the drug stores? Do Allen's and O. P. Skaggs furnish parking free or will the city make an allowance for them ? Does the 1500 voluntary accounts ac-counts include several from the same family to pad the goal? If so what happens when they drop out. Could the theatre survive with half? Has the original 1500 been lowered to 1400 to reach the goal when it should have been raised to 2,000 to take care of the dropouts? If this revival of a business goes broke, who claims the spoils? Are the people told what percentage per-centage dropped out of the Scera plan? Is this still a subscription drive or has it become a pressure pres-sure deal? Our last experience in this theatre was a good dousing with coke from the balcony. Who reprimands the offenders when the volunteers get tired of baby sitting? C E.
