Show Parents urged to bring children to Memorial Hall on ttarch 14 eye tests on pre-school children. child-ren. Of this number 60 have been referred for further professional pro-fessional assistance. The Utah County Medical Auxiliary and Springville PTA have arranged to have a preschool pre-school vision screening clinic next Monday, March 14, from 10 a.m., to 12 noon at Memorial Mem-orial Hall. Parents of children 3 years to five years, are encouraged en-couraged to bring their children child-ren to this testing clinc which is free of charge. Object of the free screening is to detect vision defects in children as early as possible. The National Society for Prevention Pre-vention of Blindness, strongly recommends that a child's eyes be tested before he reaches school age so that any vision difficulty may be corrected before be-fore the youngster enters school. The NSPB estimates that close' to 10 million American school children, one out of every ev-ery four, needs some form of eye care. In Utah County so far this year, six clinics have been held with three more scheduled. Already Al-ready 730 pre-schoolers have successfully passed the vision tests for their age groups with 18 having vision defects and being referred for further professional pro-fessional assistance.
