Show I Ruth Ann Carr, Merrill Johnson set temple wedding on April 1 An engagement of interest to friends and relatives here is that of Miss Ruth Ann Carr, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William C. Carr of Green River, Wyoming, formerly of Provo, and David Merrill Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Eugene Johnson of Springville. Spring-ville. The marriage is to be an event of April 1, taking place in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and a reception will honor the newlyweds the following evening, April 2, in the Kldred Center in Provo. Miss Carr attended Church College of New Zealand and also Brigham Young University. In high school she was ac tive in Girls' League and a member of the Hiona Tamariki Club. She graduated gradu-ated from LDS Seminary; she was a member of the Japanese Club in college. col-lege. A graduate of Springville High School and LDS Seminary, Mr. Johnson received a degree in electrical engineering engineer-ing from the University of Utah in 1963 and is presently enrolled in the U. of U. Law School. He is a graduate of the LDS Institute of Religion and has also attended the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California. Cali-fornia. In high school he was prominent in music and science groups. He continued con-tinued his music activity at Brigham Young University where he was concert con-cert master of the university orchestra and was later concert master of the U. of U. Orchestra. He is a member of Delta Phi Kappa and the Eta Kappa Nu, the latter an honorary electrical engineering fraternity. He is also affiliated affil-iated with Delta Theta Phi, a law fraternity. The prospective groom filled an LDS misison in the Southern States.
