Show Success marks 'Honor Week' at local seminary s To impress upon students the value of honesty, integrity and the many other inherent qualities which bring honor to an individual, the Springville Junior High School Seminary, which comprises ninth grade students, designated the week of November 1 to 5 as "Honor Week." Programs and other activity were planned and scheduled throughout the week by a group of enthusiastic students which comprised the Honor Council and class representatives, representa-tives, under direction of Askel H. Tanner and J. Lewis Taylor, seminary principal. Activities sponsored were presentation by BYU Honor Council on honor; daily devo-tionals devo-tionals on honor, poster, short story and slogan contests and an open-end movie on honor. Prizes were awarded to student winners in the various contests. The entire week was termed a huge success with all students stu-dents taking part in the various var-ious activities. Only Indian tribes in North America known to have hunted with blowguns are the Cherokee, Chero-kee, Iroquois and Muskogean. Tuck those pretreated washcloths wash-cloths in the car glove compartment, com-partment, desk or purse, for quickie pick-ups away from home. |
