Show AH regulations on big game hunt enforced Department of Fish and Game Director Harold S. Crane today warned hunters that all big game regulations will once again be rigorously enforced this year. This word of caution came with opening of the 1965 deer season only a few days away. "There can be no excuse for improperly tagged or failure to tag big game animals," Crane said. "We feel tagging regulations regula-tions have been amply stressed in past years so now each hunter hun-ter should be well aware that game animals must be tagged at the place of kill and before being transported." "Big game tags issued for the 1965 deer season are attached at-tached to the license and at the time the animal is killed, the hunter has only to detach the tag, remove the month and day of the kill and whether the animal was a buck or doe, then attach the tag to the animal." an-imal." "Arrest reports," Crane stated, stat-ed, show violations of the tagging tag-ging laws have made up a major ma-jor portion of the fish and game arrests each year. We sincerely hope sportsmen will make increased efforts to comply com-ply with the laws and eliminate elimi-nate many of these violations." |
