Show NcedIecraftNewsc-3 ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE WOMEN who thinks she can't make a thing for herself? If you are, then this column is for you. Because today I'd like to prove to you that anybody even you can learn how to be a whizz at needlecraf t. WHERE TO BEGIN It's all a question of where to begin. Some women start out with projects proj-ects that are too ambitious for beginners. And if they have trouble with the advanced ad-vanced ideas, they give up and say that needlework is not for them. If they'd started something simple they'd soon be doing those advanced projects, but easily and with pleasure. PRETTY AND PRACTICAL . The apron we have for you today is an example of how simply a beginner can make something that is both pretty and practical. And if you claim to have all thumbs, then good. Because you could make this if you really had all thumbs. All you need is some material mate-rial for the apron, some bits of the same brightly colored material for the design, and some double faced Bondex. Then you just cut the design into shape and iron it on with the Bondex. The Bondex adheres on both sides sticking the design to the apron. Easy, isn't it? If you want further directions for making this apron, I will be glad to send them to you free of charge, just send a stamped, self -addressed envelope and your request for Leaflet No. PPE .llfafa to the Needlework Editor of this newspaper. After this, I m sure you'll be ready for bigger things. |
