Show Club women invited to state-wide Tine-Arts Galaxie' May 1 in Provo Members of the Utah Federation Feder-ation of Women's Clubs of this area are being invited to the Fine Arts Galaxie at the Eldred Center, Provo, Saturday from 2 until 6 p.m. Mrs. Wendell Wen-dell Winger of Springville, a UFWC vice president, is general gen-eral chairman of the event. There will be a tea and reception re-ception from 2 until 5 p.m., when some of the outstanding talent from seven universities and colleges throughout the state as well as entertainment from Ft. Duchesne, will be presented. An art exhibit and crafts display from 2 until 6 p.m., will feautre entries in the Clubwoman Club-woman Art Contest with a theme, "Freedom," as well as paintings for show only by federated fed-erated club women, and handicraft handi-craft also by club members. Tickets to the function are available from club presidents serving. Mrs. G. Lowry Anderson Ander-son will assist with the floral arrangements. Mrs. Harold Christensen and Mrs. Mary Schwartz will be among those receiving guests as will Mrs. Winger, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Wright of Springville, together with other officials from other cities including in-cluding presidents of their various var-ious colleges and universities and their wives. Mrs. Harold Christensen of Springville will also be among past UFWC and district presidents pres-idents invited to preside at the tea tables. Junior club members from Springville including a number from the Companions and other oth-er clubs, will act as pages during dur-ing the afternoon function. Arrangements are being made to entertain approximately approximate-ly 600 club women from all parts of the state. or at the door ana tne proceeus are to be used to support service ser-vice projects and for scholarships scholar-ships in the state. Space will not permit a list of the entertainers in detail, but they will represent the best talent procurable. Fine programs Mrs. Lee J. Diamanto, the UFWC president, will extend greetings followed at 2 p.m., by entertainment by the Ute Indians. At 2:30, the USU will present a half-hour program followed by numbers from Weber We-ber College at 3 p.m., by the College of Eastern Utah, 3 p.m. Westminister College, at 4 p.m., University of Utah at 4:10 p.m.; Brigham Young University at 4:30 p.m. and Snow College at 5 o'clock. Mrs. Mark Johnson, Springville, Spring-ville, is chairman of the Art Exhibit with Mrs. George Wright, co-chairman. There will be a number of junior club women from Springville, |
