Rothwell Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Fifth Ward Chapel (Springville Stake House) for James Andrew Rothwell, 82, retired railroad man and farmer, who died on Sunday, April 4, 1965, in a Murray rest home, following a long illness. Bishop Lawrence Lynn of the Fifth Ward, was in charge of the services. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, directed di-rected by Wheeler Mortuary. Mr. Rothwell was born May 28, 1882 in Elsinore, a son of Robert C. and Sarah Ellen Smith Rothwell. He married Bertha Weight, Dec. 14, 1910, in Springville, and the marriage mar-riage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mrs. Rothwell died Jan. 22, 1964. In his early life Mr. Rothwell worked for the railroad, and later operated a' farm in the Lost River Valley of Idaho, living in Leslie, Arco and Moore. Surviving are three sons and three daughters: Mrs. Fred (Florence) Shultz of Murray; Mrs. Cecil (LaNell) Maynard of Lander, Wyo.; Mrs. D. C. (Ellen) Anderson of Salt Lake City; Ted Rothwell of Leslie Idaho; Kenneth Rothwell of Orem; and Major Lyman Rothwell Roth-well of Minot, N. D.; 17 grandchildren; grand-children; 10 great grandchildren; grandchild-ren; a brother and three sisters: sis-ters: Glen Rothwell of Moore, Idaho; Mrs. Jacob (Berdina) Groesbeck and Mrs. Grace Lee of Springville; and Mrs. John (Minnie) Dahle of Spanish Fork. |
