Show Services held at Price for Jose E. Vigil Jose Eduardo Vigil, 72, a resident of Springville since 1961, died Saturday afternoon April 3 1965, in the Hughes Memorial Hospital of a heart ailment. He was born Oct. 4, 1892, in Taos, N.M., the son of Remigio and Feliciana Chavez Cha-vez Vigil. He married Crucita Mondragon on Aug. 15, 1921, in San Luis, Colo. He moved from New Mexico to San Luis in 1918. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He moved to Helper in 1941, then moved to Hiawatha in 1948, and to Springville in 1961 where he had resided since. He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church. He was employed by the Utah Railway for about 30 years, retiring re-tiring in 1961. Survivors include his widow; one son and three daughters: Raymond Vigil, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Sally Garcia, Helper; Hel-per; Mrs. Joe E. (Louisa) Val-dez Val-dez and Mrs. Amos (Stella) Archeletto, Springv i 1 1 e ; 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild; one brother and two sisters: Noberta Vigil, Rocky Ford, Colo.; Mrs. Leo (Luz) Valesquey and Mrs. Max (Isabelle) Quintra, Pueblo, Colorado. Col-orado. Requiem Mass will be held today, Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Price. Holy Rosary was recited Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Berg Mortuary of Spring-ville and again Wednesday Wednes-day at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Price under direction of Father Dowling. Interment was in the Mountain Moun-tain View Cemetery in Helper. Military rites were accorded by the American Legion Post of Price. |
