The cast for the Texaco-Metropolitan Opera Radio Network broadcast features. - Renata Scotto as the Sicilian Duchess Elena; Wieslaw Ochman as Arrigo, long-lost son of Monforte; Pablo Elvira as Monforte, the French governor of Sicily; and Ruggero llaimondi as Procida, the Sicilian patriot leader. James Levine is the conductor. Commissioned for the Great Exhibition of 1855 in Parison, "I Vespri Siciliani" was Verdi's 19tn opera written after "La Traviata" and just before "Simon Boc-canegra." CEDAR CITY Giuseppe Verdi's passionate tale of patriotic rebellion, "I Vespri Siciliani," will be broadcast live from the Metropolitan Opera House on Saturday.
