Show Play to be performed PAROWAN "Oklahoma," one of Rodgers and Hammerstein's most memorable musicals, will be presented at Parowan High School March 25-27. The curtain time is 8:15 each evening, and tickets , will be sold at the door. Tickets for adults will be $2 and for students $1. On friday evening a family ticket will be sold for $7 for the entire family. "The show has presented some interesting challenges to us in the staging and production. So many people are familiar with the story, and we want to be true to the characters and the story. The students have met the challenges well so far and are enthusiastic about the . production," stated teacher Nancy Wilson. The story behind the Broadway : success of Oklahoma is one of interest and this production marks the beginning of a 17-year partnership between Richard Rodgers and . Oscar Hammerstein II. The musical is an adaptation of a play called "Green Grow the Lilacs" by Cynn Riggs. |
