Show Exciting action in Sr. Little League Last week's Senior Little League play saw Del Rich winning two close games to remain undefeated. They overcame First Interstate In-terstate Bank 10-9 with Englestead and Hulet on the mound. L. Palmer and Bishop doubled and Sorenson hit a single. For FIB the throwing was done by Lambeth, A. Pearson and R. Pearson. Hitters were J. Whetman with a single and a double, R. Warren with one of each and R. Pearson with a - double and a triple. In their 2nd game, Del Rich defeated CPN 8-4. R. Hulet and M. Smith were the winning pitchers with Sorenson smacking a double and Englestead and K. Hulet each getting two singles. Staples went the distance for CPN with Watson, C. Hulet and Ipson all singling. State Bank picked up a big 20-7 win over TWA with Macomas, Cardon and Greenhalgh all taking a turn on the mound. Carson led the hitting with a triple and a single. Singles were also ripped by Edwards, Greenhalgh, Esplin (2), K. Taylor and L. Taylor. Hinton, Starr and Cole threw for TWA with Sanders getting a two-bagger two-bagger and singles by Roundy (2) and Prest-wich. Prest-wich. Coke shut out Rolling Rubber 16-0 with Lund-berg Lund-berg going the distance on the mound, accounting for seven strike outs and allowing no hits. Hitters for Coke were Forsyth with a triple and a double. Lundberg, Forsyth and Ferguson each got two-baggers two-baggers and singles were hit by Petty (2), Mar-chant, Mar-chant, Jolley (2) and Crandall. It was FIB 16 and CAPCO 11 with R. Pearson, Jones, Lambeth and Green all taking a turn on the mound. Singles were hit by J. Whetman (3), Green and Lambeth. CAPCO's pitchers were Walker, Heap and Batiste. Heap hit a triple and Tuckett a single. In the last game of the week, State Bank doubled Rolling Rubber's score in a 10-5 victory. Macomas, Olds and Cardon threw for the winners. |
