Show Club notes Women report to group Chapter One of the North Iron County Region of the Utah Association of Women met May, and members who attended the State Convention last month reported ; on workshops they had attended. ;:'v ,.7. ; ' . Roxanna Johnson discussed planned parenthood and its immoral im-moral effect on our teenagers. Petitions against Planned Parenthood's attempt to get federal funds for teenage contraceptives and abortions without parental consent were handed out and are being circulated. Members were encouraged to sign against such practices. Vivian Robb attended workshops on "How to Succeed . Without Being 'a - Man" ;" and "Humanism." She discussed secular humanism and its influence in-fluence in area cschools. D. Anne Robinson reported on time management. She has an address where materials for a time management system can be obtained. Janet Hughes spoke about "How to Eliminate Your Self-defeating Behavior." She also has an update on the United Nations and current legislation. Tana Johnson attended two workshops on education. 1 One covered r-ways r-ways parents can be involved in their children's education, an d the other was on getting back to the basics oin education. These subjects will be discussed at the Paragonah Chapter meeting on May 12 and at Summit on May 19. The public is invited to attend these informative meetings. |
