Show Senior Citizens to hold meeting The . Utah State Coalition of Senior Citizens will hold a district meeting in Parowan Aug. 13 at 1 p.m., in the Senior Citizens Center in Parowan. The Senior Citizens Center is located directly behind the Parowan Trading Center on Main Street. The purpose of the meeting will be to elect a delegate and an alternate to the coalition's Board of Directors. Senior citizen members and representatives from each of the District 5 counties (Beaver, Iron, Garfield, Washington and Kane) are invited to attend as well as any other senior citizens who are interested in joining the coalition. Nominations for the seats available on USCSC's Board of Directors will be taken from the floor at the election. Discussion topics will be such current issues as the MX missle and sales tax on food. In addition, there will be a luncheon at 12 noon, before which memberships mem-berships to the senior coalition will be accepted. ac-cepted. Reservations to the luncheon can be made by calling Fredrika Clinch, 477-3610, or the Center, 477-8925. Mrs. Clinch is a member of the Board of Directors of the coalition and is on the Membership Committee. Anyone wishing more information is invited to call her at their home. |
