Show IML asks for rate reduction Utah Power & Light Co. . Friday asked the Utah Public Service Commission for permission to reduce rates by $6.6 million through March 31, 1982. The company explained the reduction request re-quest was made possible because be-cause fuel and energy costs for the period were lower than projected and asked the rate reduction be effective for service on and after October 9, 1981.
