' V 1 ; "X" " The Beaver County Schools serve nutritious meals every school day.Stu-dents day.Stu-dents may buy lunch for 75? at the elementary school and 80? at the secondary school. Children from families whose income is at or below the level shown on the chart may be eligible for either free meals or meals at a reduced re-duced price of 40?. To apply at any time during dur-ing the year for free or reduced re-duced price meals for your children, complete the application appli-cation and return it to the school. ' Within five days of receiving your application, tne school wiTl let you know whether or not your children chil-dren are eligible. If, during the school year there are changes in your family size or changes in your income, you should report re-port such changes to the school's officials in order that appropriate eligibility adjustments are made. Proof of Current family income If you have applied ap-plied for free or reduced price benefits in other years you will note some changes to the application form . The application now requires the name and social security number of all adult family members. Adults without social so-cial security numbers must indicate that they do not have one. Schools may verify veri-fy the source and amount of income as well as household house-hold composition. Foster Children In certain cer-tain cases foster children are also eligible for these benefits. If you have foster children living with you and you wish to apply for such meals for them, please notify us or indicate it on the ap-plication.- Nondiscrimination All children are treated the same regardless of ability to pay. In the operation of child feeding programs, no child will be discriminated jigainst because of race, sex, creed, color, or national origin. ori-gin. Fair Hearing If you do not agree with the school's decision on your application you may wish to discuss it with the school. If so, you have the right to a fair hearing. hear-ing.
