Show PHILO H, FARNSWORTH ' Philo Hatch Farnsworth, 67, died September 5, 1981 at a Delta hospital. Born November 27, 1913 in Provo, Utah to Kent and I Lacey C. Hatch Farnsworth. Married Lola Orton, in Provo August 16, 1937. A graduate of YU High, attend- I ed BYU. Worked for Lockheed Lock-heed Aircraft in Burbank. I He moved to Panguitch and then Delta, where he ' owned and operated Hatch's Cafe for 20 years. Retired 1 in 1967. He served as Delta City Mayor from 1970 - 78. During Dur-ing his long term, improved Delta City Airport, sewer and water, built a city park, built the new fire station and added a great deal of fire equipment. He was made an Honorary Fireman. Served as Director of Utah League of Cities and Towns. He was a member of the Lions and Kiwanls Clubs. Had business interest in a grocery store, office complexes com-plexes and land developments develop-ments throughout the area. Survivors: Wife, pfDel-ta; pfDel-ta; daughter, Mrs. Jack (Carol Ann) Bishop, Cedar City; son, Richard, ofDel- I ta; five grandchildren. Funeral services were I held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. , in Delta Stake Center. Bur- I ial Delta Cemetery under I the direction of Nickle Mor- I tuary. |
