Show Ensrgy crisis assistance The Energy crisis Assistance Assis-tance Program, being administered ad-ministered through the Five County Association of Governments, Gov-ernments, is now in effect in our area. In Utah, there are approximately 62,118 families fami-lies with incomes which meet qualifications for .assistance under this program. Since January 1975 Utah's utility costs have risen an average of 96.1 percent. Income In-come increases have not kept pace. This has created a crisis-situationj particularly for our elderly, handicapped and working poor. Eligibility will be based, solely on income criteria. Households who qualify can receive $150 to $300 maximum maxi-mum based on the type of fuel used in the home. Volunteers who worked with the program last year and other outreach workers will be helping applicants fill out the necessary forms. In your area please contact Sally Rose, County Coordinator, Coordi-nator, 387-5515. |
