Show Wilderness meeting scheduled Persons unable to attend the BLM scheduled meeting on Wilderness in Cedar City Tuesday, May 1, can become better informed at a Wilderness Wil-derness meeting the next night, Thursday, May 2nd at 8:00 p.m. at the Milford High School Auditorium. At the request of Mayor Young, representatives from BLM will attend a meeting in Milford, under the sponsorship spon-sorship of the Milford Business Busi-ness Association. They will explain the areas involved in the present intensive in-tensive study and the procedures pro-cedures followed by BLM in making this study, and the evaluation procedure to be followed in making their final fi-nal recommendation. It should be noted that this meeting is not sponsored spon-sored by BLM, and so public pub-lic imput will not be used in making their evaluation. If you wish to have your imput placed on file, you should attend the meeting on Tuesday, in Cedar City at the District Office from 1-7 p.m. or one of the other BLM meetings. However, if you cannot attend one of these meetings, meet-ings, you should attend the meeting in Milford. Your questions can be answered, and you will be better apprised ap-prised of what the wilderness designation means, and what you can do about it, pro or con. Then you can make your imput to BLM in writing writ-ing and mail it to the District Dis-trict Office in Cedar City. Of particular interest to Beaver Countyites are the three areas proposed in Beaver County. Two are in the Wah Wah range and one on the Nevada border. However, BLM should be prepared to discuss not only Beaver County, but all of the areas designated for intensive in-tensive study as wilderness in the Cedar City District. |
