Show Again I must get two weeks of news into this column. Some of the news is even older than that. I just found out that Jet Carpenter graduated from Utah State the first of this month. His last few courses were finished up through correspondence. Last weekend the Gonders were busy. While the men were bringing the cows in off the desert, Pat had a regional re-gional meeting in Wells, Nevada. Ne-vada. My mom and dad were here from Las Vegas last weekend. It has been a couple of months since they were here, so we had a nice visit. Fred and Roberta Conde were in Salt Lake for the' past several days. They had to go up for a funeral. While there, they also saw their children. I also found out that Fred was appointeddep- ' uty district governor of the Lion's Club, for Nevada In April. We congratulate him belatedly. This weekend was a busy one for Bud and Gen Richardson. Richard-son. On Friday Earl and Blanche Yersen arrived for the summer. It's nice having hav-ing them back. Later that, evening daughter, Blanche Sefcik, arrived with husband, Doug, and their two boys. They are down from Edmonton, Edmon-ton, Alberta for a visit. Sunday Sun-day Donna Corey and her children were here. This was also the weekend that the Ely .Nevada Stake put on the play, "Saturday's Warriors". There were quite a few from out here who went to see it, and it was certainly well worth the trip. LaRue Rowley left Wednesday Wed-nesday with her cousin, Helen Hel-en Stevens, to go up to Canada. Can-ada. They went to Reno first to pick up her sister, sis-ter, Meda Rutterer, and then left from there. Rick and Carolyn Berner were also here from Provo to help Chester Wheeler celebrate Father's Day. A lot of the kids from here and Baker were attending 4-H 4-H camp over the weekend. I'm sure they all had a good time. That looks like it from here. Have- a happy week. |
