Max andClariss and sister, Toni, and Toni's friend, Lynette Yardley, attended at-tended the Rodeo both nights. Lois placed In two events, j goat tying and break-away roping. Congratulations Lois, Lo-is, for this honor. I heard of the death of Leland Jones last Friday. Leiand was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Jones, all former residents of South Milford. Leland was born and raised here, he attended attend-ed school here and graduated graduat-ed from Milford High. He ! married LaRu Bonn, a Mln-ersville Mln-ersville girl. They have been residing in Oregon for som time now. He is survived by his wife, several children, his mother, Gene Jones, and three brothers and sisters. Cum a Goodwin hosted a birthday dinner for her son, Bill, and grandson -In -law, David Burger, Sunday afternoon. after-noon. Bill's birthday was Sunday, May 7th and David's was May 4th. Others enjoying enjoy-ing the occasion were David's Da-vid's wife, Jllene, and an aunt and uncle Vera and Clinton Bond. Mr. and Mrs. H. Naruse are very happy over the arrival ar-rival of a new grandson born to their daughter, Judy, and husband, Allen Miyashllo, of Escondido, California onAp-ril onAp-ril 18th. He has been giv- i en the name of Mathew. Grandma Naruse spent 11 days with the family, returning return-ing home last Tuesday. They have five grandchildren now, three boys and two girls, but this is Judy and Allen's first child. Their sons, Donald and Dick each have two children. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Sly returned home last Tuesday from Salt Lake where they had spent several days visiting vis-iting their son, Bob and wife, and the Burton Andersons. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Roberts were in Enterprise on Sunday visiting relatives and they brought back Adriene's i father, William Bauer, who will be with them for a while. Mrs. Georgia Beth Thompson and youngdaugh-ter youngdaugh-ter of Cedar City returned t to their home Monday after spending a week here with father George Smith. He says he Is feeling a lot better. bet-ter. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Yard-ley Yard-ley are happy to announce the arrival of another grandson born to Michael and Sherrie Sher-rie Yardley of St. George. The new one made his arrival ar-rival May 4th weighing 8 lb. 1-12 oz. He's named Brandon Bran-don Michael. He has a sister sis-ter at home. GrandmaMau-rine GrandmaMau-rine went down Monday to help with the family. Bert and Merlyn Merry-weather Merry-weather were happy to have old friends, Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Harritt, of Salt Lake City drop in for a night and a day. They were on their was to San Dieeo. Mrs. H. Naurse and Mrs. Margie Sherwood spent Monday in Cedar City doing some shopping and having lunch. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sherwood, Sher-wood, accompanied by sister, sis-ter, Nora Wright, made a trip to California some -time back. They visited with their sisters, Eva and James Meeks and Rhoda and Char-le Char-le Ballou, in Martinez. Nora stayed in Martinez, while Jim and Margie went on to San Jose. Jim stayed for a few day then he and Nora returned home. Margie stayed for five weeks with their children, Alan and Laura and daughters. Com -ing back to Tooele lastMon-day lastMon-day she visited other daughter, daugh-ter, Linda and John and chil -dren until Saturday. Jim came to Tooele and they returned re-turned home Saturday afternoon. after-noon. Margie says six-week vacations are fine but she's glad to get back home. Janice Mayer and Margie Sherwood entertained the Sorority So-rority Monday evening at Janice's home. |
