After the activity, the team and parents attended a banquet ban-quet at the Ponderosa Cafe. Many fine tributes were paid to the team members, Coach Raddon and his wife, Dorothy, Doro-thy, Manager Cordon Hutch-ings, Hutch-ings, and the cheerleaders. The senior boys were presented pre-sented with engraved silver key chains. They are Gary Henrie, Karlton Moss, Wade Bradshaw, Theron Jessup, and Brad Waters. The grade school wrestlers, wrest-lers, coached by Alan Raddon, Rad-don, made a fine showing at the Federation Meet, held last Saturday at Delta, Utah. Seven boys received first place trophies, eight boys took second place, ten won third place, and there were eight boys taking fourth place honors. The boys who won first place awards are: Tracy Nebeker, kindergarten, kinder-garten, Troy Nebeker, second sec-ond grade; Ryan Yardley, second grade; Yancy Edwards, Ed-wards, first grade; Chad Black, fifth grade; Joe Kel-sey, Kel-sey, Minersville, second grade and Danny Nielson, first grade. Clark Smith reported that with the recent rains his corrals cor-rals are turning "green" and everything is coming up "roses". See you next week. R. G. Gardner received word Thursday of the death of his mother, Mrs. Stella G. Gardner. He and his wife, Margaret, left BeaverFri-day BeaverFri-day and drove to American Fork to be with his family and to attend the funeral services ser-vices Monday. Sam and Vickie Hutchings have been in Salt Lake during dur-ing the week to visit with his mother, Mrs. Glen(Eve-lyn) Glen(Eve-lyn) Hutchings, who is in the LDS Hospital, and to take care of other business. Han-nabel Han-nabel Kirkham accompanied the Hutchings to Salt Lake to visit her sister, Evelyn, and other family members. Wallace and Beth Dean spent several days last week visiting in Salt Lake and in Layton with their sons, Russell, Rus-sell, Gordon, and Gary, and their families. Nancy and LyleMortenson and Sam and Vickie Hutchings Hutch-ings attended a session at the St. George Temple Tuesday Tues-day night, February 28th. Paul and Gail Coston returned re-turned home last week from San Diego, California, where Gail visited her mother and Paul had a medical check-up. Butch and Kathy Humphrey were in Salt Lake last week for medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Mess-inger Mess-inger were in Salt Lake last Monday to attend the funeral service for Mrs. Beck Fernley. Mrs. Fernley was a former Beaver resident, very active in music circles and a very dear friend of Arlo's mother. They also visited their son, Steven, in Syracuse, Utah. Glen Hutchings returned home from Provo, Utah last week. He and his daughter, daugh-ter, Marie Marshall, from Minersville, have spent the past month in Provo andSalt Lake to be near their wife and mother, Evelyn (Winnie) Hutchings, who has been in , the LDS Hospital for surgery. sur-gery. Evelyn's sister, Nola - Cartwright has also stayed in Salt Lake to be near her and she visited two of their sisters, Mrs. Delia Saule ' and Mrs. Nina Hall. Alan Hutchings spent last Sunday and Monday in the northern part of the state visiting his daughter and family, Barbara and Steve Lund of Springville. Many friends and family members enjoyed the annual Fathers and Sons Activity Night at the Beaver high School Gym last Thursday.
