Show JIM SHERWOOD TO ATTEND VFW CONFAB Doctor John Wasylik, of Sandusky, Ohio, Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United Unit-ed States, has announced that James Sherwood, ofMilford, Utah , V.F.W. Post 1546, a member of the V.F.W.'s National Na-tional Youth Activities Committee, Com-mittee, will attend the annual V.F.W. Mid-Winter Conference Confer-ence of National Officers and State Commanders , March 3-7, in Washington, D.C. The V.F.W. leaders will appear before Congressional committees responsible for veterans legislation and present pre-sent the organization's legislative leg-islative goals for 1978, meet with their Congressional delegations and attend briefings brief-ings by top Congressional, Administration and military officials. Rep. John J. Rhodes, Ariz., Minority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, Representa-tives, has been selected to receive the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the UJS. 15th annual Congressional Award for "outstandlngser-vice "outstandlngser-vice to the nation." The award will be presented at the Congressional Banquet, March 7th, which honors all Members of Congress. A large bronze plaque and a $1,000 gift to an Institution of higher learning of Rep. Rhodes' choice, will highlight high-light the dinner. |
