Show SENIOR CITIZENS CONFERENCE SET IN CEDAR CITY All senior citizens or those persons interested In programs and services for senior ctizens are encouraged encour-aged to' attend a two -day conference con-ference February 8-9, 1978, on the SUSC Campus in Ce-day Ce-day City to discuss the following fol-lowing four topics: 1) Religion Reli-gion how different religions reli-gions within the area effect or are effected by senior citizens, what programs these churches offer the elderly, el-derly, etc.; 2) Minorities what ethnic or cultural min- ir. -1 c . orities do we have, and should our aging programs attempt to integrate or segregate them; 3) Programs what programs are already available avail-able for the elderly, what new programs are being started, (i.e., Volunteers, Outreach) and what programs are still needed; 4) Local concerns what problems or attributes are unique to senior citizens of Southwestern Utah, and what special concerns would we like to express to the Governor. In conjunction with this conference there will be an Arts and Crafts Display of work done by local senior citizens, and a special lunch and program featuring talent numbers from each of the five counties within the District. |
