Lyla Truman, who attends BYU at Provo andMarkTru-man, andMarkTru-man, who goes to school and works in Salt Lake, were home over the weekend to attend Denise Wood and Joe Hillock's wedding. Laurel Standard and Priesthood night is held in Milford this week. Regional president Steward will be the speaker. Brother Steward Stew-ard is a brother to Athene Roberts. A 'come as you are' party for Kim and Elizabeth Dot-son Dot-son was held at the home of Marybeth Bailey. Kim and Elizabeth are moving to Arizona. Ari-zona. Gertrude and Howard Marshall have come from Boise, Id. to spend Thanksgiving Thanks-giving with Howard's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Effie Marshall. Casey Dalton met with an accident and had to have stitches taken across his nose. Casey is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Dalton. Dal-ton. Mr. and Mrs. Roberts of McMinnville, Ore. and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Myers from New Plymouth, Id. arrived in Minersville on Monday, Their wives' father, Vaughn Deloy, passed away and will be buried in Beaver on Thurs -day. Iillie Gibson has been in Provo to see about her eyes and getting new glasses. Sally Roberts and Sharon Williams spent the weekend with Melvin Williams and Mr. and Mr S.John Williams. Roger Don Marshall was home from school. He goes to school in St. George. Speakers in Sacrament meeting were LaVoy May-cock May-cock and Allen Gayle. Everyone Eve-ryone really enjoyed their talks. Monday night the Minersville Miners-ville Betterment Club served a delicious fried chicken dinner din-ner to the women of Minersville. Miners-ville. This is a very good club for MinersvUle and we all appreciate their accom plishments. Gladys Myers has gone to A rizona where she will spend a month or two with her son, Kent Myers. Kent and family fam-ily is teaching there this winter. Wilma Davis received word that Jess McKnight is in the University Medical Center. He has undergone open -heart surgery. We all hope he will recover soon. Effie Marshall has a new great-grandchild. The par- ents are Mr. and Mrs. Jay V (Brenda Marshall) Bowcutt and they live in West Jordon. 5 Lola Bohn and Gladys Myers My-ers spent last week in Las Vegas visiting their children, chil-dren, then Lola's son, Carlos Bohn, drove them home and returned to Vegas. Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Pi-oneers met at the home of Virginia Jameson on Nov. 17th. The lesson, Pioneer Memorial Museums, was given by Marybeth Bailey. Those present were Virginia Jameson, Pauline Wood, Ef- fie Jameson and Marybeth Bailey. A delicious luncheon j was enjoyed, j The Dan Payne fam ily went j to the temple on Friday. Those that went with him were Bishop and Mrs. Ross Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Albrecht, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hollingshead, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Craw, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Craw, Beverley Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Gray, Mr. and Mrs. Net Craw, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Blackner, and i Dona Craw. Merle Gillins and Vie Mar -i shall traveled to Salt Lake to see Merle's husband, Wayne, who underwent eye surgery. We all hope Wayne will have a speedy recovery. Karl Truman, Colleen Truman and Kayleen Eyre i, traveled to Salt Lake Thurs - I day. Karl attended to some j I business and they all stayed to enjoy the football game. Sylvia Davis and Owen Og-den Og-den of Milford traveled to ! Provo on Thursday to Christmas shop. They also went on to Cedar City on Friday. Connie and Chris Marshall attended the Second Congressional Con-gressional Republican meeting meet-ing arid luncheon in Cedar City at the Sugar Loaf Cafe. Many people went to Salt Lake to see the Beaver football foot-ball game. They got second place. This was good experience ex-perience for the boys so next year they will go all the way. We are real proud of all of them. Ann and Gordon Eyre of Las Vegas stopped enroute to Provo to see their son, Nick, play football, but the snow stopped them just out of Milford. Nick is one of the BYU players. At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Goldie Marshall was their daughter, Gladys and Gene Pitchforth, and their son, Sammy and wife and family. They were here to attend the wedding of Joe Hillock and Denise Wood. Bill Wood's home had visitors vis-itors and to attend the Hillock Hil-lock and Wood wedding: Mr. and Mrs. Art Bowman from Cedar City, Tarel Greer and wife from Ogden. Jared Hollingshead had a birthday on Nov. 21st and had all his little friends in for a party. Colleen and Doug Farnow spent the weekend with Colleen's Col-leen's mother, Mrs. Nettie Myers. A family dinner din-ner was held Sunday in honor hon-or of Reva Albrecht's birthday birth-day at Richard and Renee's home.
